An 300 series already comes with Win7 there is no "upgrade disc"
Your 3 DVD recovery kit has all the apps, and you should be able to select or install from it, you can also just back up your data and install the full "like factory new" configuration from the 3 DVDs.
The default HP install is pretty solid, has the right apps and drivers, and will let you uninstall whatever you don't want, there's no need to do a "clean" install and you're just making life more difficult for yourself by doing it.

Roughly few months back,
i bought 2 external hdd and by mistake when it came to formatting them,
i ended up formating the recovery partition,
I did luckly make the 3 DVD for recovery,
but i opt for a clean install with Windows 7,
I used the disk that came with the 300 touchsmart and installed all the software onto the desktop,
Now got 1 problem
all the HP Games are gone,
i thought there can be extracted of the recovery disk,
but arent on there,
If i buy the upgrade disk from HP,
will there have all the software on them????
or are there simply normal upgrade disk???
Sorry missed out one bit,
i have a iq515uk and 300-1000,
the iq500 is the one i am thinking about buying the windows 7 disk for,
it came with vista 64,
currently used the hp 300-1000 disk to get all the software back,
apart from the games
Well you can't get the Win7 upgrade package for the IQ515 anymore from HP, you need to do the upgrade yourself.
But back to the original question, if you blew away everything on the IQ515 without making recovery DVDs, go ahead and invest the money to buy them from HP, they're invaluable, and they will let you reinstall what you want, even after the upgrade for things like the games. The recovery DVDs from the 300 will not work very well on the IQ515.

Luckly i did make the 3 recovery dvd,
going to stick with how i got it setup now,
to get the games back would need to run the recovery dvd,
then upgrade the vista install back to windows 7 ultimate,
kind of a hassle or just me being lazy,
But Cheers with the help...

If you have the correct 3 DVD set for the IQ515 then you should be able to install the HP games off of it, it allows individual application restores, caveat is that it won't install the Vista OS-provided games, only the HP.
That being said, I've never really thought twice about playing the HP games and would never even notice they were missing :-)
