I would try and write out a .bat file to run your N-Trig setup correctly. First, Goto the HP support page for N-Trig drivers here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-7712...
And second, extract the files, then go to the install directory. Usually: C:\SwSetup\SP45835
Then create 2 new .txt files. In the first put this:
setup.exe -NF
Save it and rename it to ntrig.bat
In the second file put this:
setup.exe -ND
setup.exe -NH
Save that and rename to ntrig2.bat
Open up your start menu. Type in CMD then hold ctrl-shift and press enter.
navigate to: C:\SwSetup\SP45835 Then copy the two .bat files there if you haven't already.
Run the first file from the elevated command window
reboot
bring up the command window again in elevated mode. navigate to the directory again. and run the second file.
Reboot and see if that took.
I've been using Windows 7 Pro x64 since last October.
I actually thought Windows 7 was a very-well-made-and-STABLE-SUPER-SOLID OS until I faced an BSOD!!
It happened actually after I installed the most recent n-trig driver and s/w package.
I won't say it DEFINITELY happened because of the n-trig driver update because at the moment I was adding my new wireless mouse via BT.
Anyway, I decided to backup all my data, format c: and reinstall Windows 7 - this time with the HP supported version, W7 home premium which I received after submitting the proof of purchase of my tx2z.
Everything seemed to work well until I updated my n-trig driver.
This time I added my mouse first and used it quite a while not to miss any small possibility which occured the BSOD.
Though, after installing the n-trig driver which I downloaded from the n-trig website, I rebooted as usual and tried to calibrate the points only to end up with another BSOD.
The log shows that it might have occured due to driver (or firmware) malfunction
I'm working it on my laptop to figure out what would be the exact problem.
When I get something (with details), I'll try to make this thread updated.
Whatever, good night folks.
