I upgraded my IQ506 to Windows 7 and other than no sound, everything works fine with the PDC build of Windows 7. Apparently even the sound issue can be resolved by uninstalling the HP sound driver and rebooting - Win 7 then installs a generic driver that works. (I haven't yet tried this, but it was reported by another user to work)

 I documented my experiences here:

I have Windows 7 Beta installed and running fine on the IQ515a. I have done both a clean install and an upgrade from Vista both work very well. If you're doing a clean install you'll have to install the Ethernet & Wifi drivers after installing Vista. If you're upgrading from Vista i would recommend doing it from the Factory Image and uninstalling Norton Internet Security prior to commencing the upgrade
