You don't have to use WPF. You can make a regular C# app work just as well as long as you follow the guidelines regarding layout switching based on window size and only have a single, chromeless window for your app.
I'm looking for someone to help me with development of internet radio app for Touchsmart. I have a demo app writen in C# that uses Shoutcast streams, but I'm new to WPF and Touchsmart app development, so if someone would like to help me with this I think we could build a cool app. If someone is a graphic designer I'm also open to UI design suggestions. Right now it is posible to search stations by name, list stations by geners, Top500 and random 20 stations. The app will also offer to set stations as favorites.
..as of yet there is still nothing available for a decent radio app (other than the bundled Pandora). Good luck on the app Igor, we're all waiting :D
You can definitely have your application in TouchSmart environment without using WPF but it will be really hard to achieve seamless UI look-n-feel with TS shell. it would be really nice if we create UI with WPF, it is not only very flexible framework but also easy to create. Let me know if I can help you some way.
What about an interface to AUPEO http://www.aupeo.com/ like the AUPEO Internet Radio docklet written in AdobeAIR that ships with Asus multi-touch notebooks and notebooks (part of their touch dock suite).
I managed to extract some styles from SmartCenter app, so now I will start building my internet radio app for Touchsmart :-). I will try to build my UI like the one that is used in music app.

Igor,
Please make sure you steer clear of copyright issues when doing this. Just because SmartCenter is a .NET application and it's relatively easy to pull things like this out, doesn't mean that you can freely do so.
It is looking great. You may want to increase the size of icons a little bit so that we can get better user experience.
