Hi-were you able to adjust the fonts? I wonder if it is possible to enlarge the toolbar icons?? Here is this big screen and tiny little icons.
Hi, I'm new here, new owner of a iq810 and new user of Vista :)
I'm using my iq810 in my bedroom like a TV, my problem is how to setup Vista so I can use it from a long distance... Meaning really large fonts...
I tried setting the DPI font size, but first of all the touchsmart application goes weird, doesn't show all the buttons... And some of Vista GUI go weird too... I would like to have the 192 DPI but some programs think that windows is at 800x600 resolution and go weird too...
Second solution is to change the fonts size in the theme(?) the place where we changed the fonts etc in XP etc. But this too have weird behaviours in Vista, one example is that it doesn't change all the GUI, even if I change all font options.
So, my question is, is there any Skin or Theme that works good with our Touchsmarts so we can use it from far?
Oh and the DPI solution has another problem, It sets this option for all windows users... so I can't have a user that uses windows at long distance and other for normal use...
Thanks!
Desktop icons, yes. Click somewhere on the Windows Desktop, then hold down the Ctrl key while rolling the wheel on the mouse. That will enlarge or shrink the desktop icons. For toolbar icons it's more complex.
Toolbar Icons are larger if you choose teh "optomize for Touch" setting in the Start menu.

Woohoo! I won my Touchsmart!
It seams the new TouchSmart application is ready for DPI but not fully, the images from the albuns from the calendar etc are out of borders...
But at least is now usable!
There's also the Windows Magnifyer program, it's in your Accessibility settings somewhere. I don't really like it, but it helps if you need it.
Where can i adjust the size of the maps on the desktop?
because i got a lot of them and allmost my whole screen is fulll.
thanks:)

There is a an option for every executable where we can select if we use DPI or not in that program but rarely it results... Is is the properties near the one where we set the compatibility with previous windows versions
Ooops 8) I bought this computer in Spain because it doesn't exist yet in Portugal and in Spain they translate everything... So this is DPI in english, sorry, my bad...
Ah, thanks for the clarification. So that setting is the one that disables Vista's DPI scaling for that particular program when the rest of the system is using DPI higher than the standard 96.
