Reboot.
I added some tiles to my TS home, then soon i would get errors like, "Browser has stopped working". I removed the tiles and things were fine. But now my Music and Photos tile isn't working! No Picture, nothing, although one time after re-starting the computer it said it was loading but it was "loading for at least an hour. What do I do?

I did reboot, it's not working. I think there is something really wrong with touchsmart app. I will choose tiles to add, and they don't show up, or they don't work. Then I will change it so there are no tiles, but a blank tile with the title Music will show up. Help!

Do you have the latest S/W updates?
I had some similar issues and a re-boot fixed the problem.
I also had music tile issues when trying to use iTunes.
I moved all my music to WMC and things stabilized.

One option you can try as a "reset" is to use the Win+R keystroke (Win is the key with the Windows logo on it) to bring up the Run... dialog. Then type in
smartcenter deleteconfig
and hit the Enter key.
This will revert all your tiles to the factory default state on the next start of the HP TouchSmart software. Note that in doing the above you'll lose any tiles you've added or modified.
I haven't tried the Music tile with iTunes yet, so I have little experience with that particular setup. Not sure why the Photo tile would not load. Are you saying both the Photo and Music tile take a long time to load?

My Photo App within Touchsmart will not work. Is there a way to reinstall just the photo app without doing a complete Restore? This is on my replacement IQ....happened right out of the box.

I think I fixed it: I d/l and installed the HP TouchSmart Music/Photo/Video Application Update sp40893.exe. It seems to be working ok for now.

Eegads! I think I installed an older version of the application since Pandora is no longer available in the Music App! No biggie, at least my photo app is working as it should and *hopefully* the Spring Update will be available for d/l soon. I use Pandora.com anyway.

Will smartcenter deleteconfig delete the notes in the notes app? Photo is shot so I need to do something, don't want to give up on HP and get that cool new Dell Sudio One touchscreen, but might, lotsa bugs on the HPTS.

No, that command will only reset the tile configuration of the HP TouchSmart software. It won't do anything to the Notes or Photo app.
