However the Monitor is a part of the machine, it'd be like trying to use a laptop panel seperately. While you could use the TV Tuner it's not a part with a lot of value, they sell for under $50.
You want to always think about the Touchsmart series as "laptops on steroids" from an architectural standpoint, even now in the 300/600 series.

Hello, newbie here.
Curious if anyone has disassembled one yet as I've tried searching the tubes for some time and got no results. I really just want to dig out the TV tuner and try to salvage the monitor/speakers for use on my new PC. =P

Sucks to hear I can't use the monitor. As for the TV tuner, I just want it for my new PC and I'm too cheap to buy another.
