The usual reason for this is that the new version of iTunes no longer is properly seen by the Touchsmart Music application, it's one of the reasons to not be the first on the block to update an application, especially when other applications hook back into it, like the way the Touchsmart app goes back into iTunes.

HP will usually update their apps after a few months to reflect the new configuration and then they should work properly again.

My recommendation? roll back to the previous version of iTunes, or cheat by adding the iTunes music folder as a shortcut under the existing Windows "My Music" structure.
