"Certain industry-standard applications such as Photoshop can Painter cannot register pressure of the pen.

This problem appears to be related to the WinTab API not being able to communicate properly with the digitizer output.

Our solution for issues related to the pressure sensitivity and the WinTab API are currently under development and is due to be released in mid-May 2010. If possible we may post Beta versions for testing earlier."

That message has been on the N-trig site for far too long now! Well after a few emails back and forward, I've found that the solution will be released sometime this week!

It's finally happening! Perhaps we can get more artists in favour of N-trig now!

I customised my HP tx2z with:
6GB RAM
400GB 5200rpm Hard Disk
2.4Ghz AMD Turrion Ultra x2 ZM-86
Bluetooth + Wireless N
Lightscribe DVD-RW drive

I live in the UK - But I imported my tx2 from america.

I am so happy. I hope N-trig can put the new driver in their web site because HP never put the tx2-1003au new drivers for DuoSense for Windows 7 32bit in HP web site.

Thanks for sharing information. I keep a tab on N-trig site for driver....

I checked other thread related to Photoshop Pressure sensitivity. One guy has mentioned he got response from N-Trig support team stating "We are planning to post driver by Thursday or Friday"...

Hoping for updated driver within this weekend.

The new driver is released.

This is currently supported for Windows 7, 32 bit only.

And the 32-bit WinTab support either doesn't work on a 64-bit OS or doesn't work with The GIMP, either way this colors me with contempt. :/

Does anybody here (who has a 32-bit Win7) tested the drivers out yet? Please do let us know if they are any good!

I try the WinTab API driver in HP-tx21003au. Photoshop cs3 can work, except a little delay. Corel Painter 11 will appear abnormal lines when use pen tool to draw. Easy Paint Tool SAI can not work.

= Failure - even if it works with Photoshop, a delay is something unacceptable and counter-productive.

I did a quick test on my 64-bit machine to see if it works, had no luck with The GIMP.

And HP won't release the 2.239 32bit driver version. Wow, I got to admit this NTrig driver issue is getting ridiculous.

HP won't release the 2.239 32bit driver version. I ask HP they told me no n-trig 2.239 32bit driver. I would never buy HP products again.
