Can someone help me underclock my tx2-1025dx? im trying to get it to a resonable temperature,i would like to decrease it to 1.6 GHz, because i need some power because i use Cinema 4D. but i dont want to deal with the heat. im also trying undervolting it. Overall i want to get this thing to lower temperatures. Im afraid that these high temps, will kill the internals over time and render the laptop useless. and this is my very first tablet, i dont want it to meet a toasty death... so can some one please help me.

I wouldn't worry about it. They just run hot. I've had mine for half a year already and its hit 70C and kept trucking. Scared me at first, too. That's what the warranty is for.

It'll turn off it it gets past a threshold, you're safe. It's more likely that software failure or an upgrade will come before you experience a catastrophic hardware failure, in which case the hard drive should still be fine for recovery if it isn't the point of failure, and if that's the case turning down the heat wouldn't have solved anything.

ohh, hmmm, alright. Also i was thinking about getyting a tm2t, it seems small, cooler, but is the digitizer glass? because this plastic touch screen is killing me, it sratches. the only thing i dont like about it is its 1.3 processor, i fiend for power!!!!

The TM2 benchmarks higher than the TX2, so power shouldn't be a problem. More software is becoming reliant on graphics cards, so the TM2's graphics card generally puts it on top.

So it should work a lot better with Cinema 4D?
