Again, I think the TouchSmart is actually an amazing piece of hardware - in search of some amazing software. I have the IQ815, and the all-in-one design is right up there with the iMac and the Sony AIO desktops. Never mind the gorgeous 25.5" widescreen display and the RGB ambient lighting. And it doesn't hurt that they load it up with ample RAM and disk storage and Vista 64. I see the touch screen as a bonus. Yes, the TouchSmart application is a resource hog, and has a number of quirks, but as a top notch desktop with out wires, the TS is really great.
And remember, the touchscreen works with ALL applications - just like a mouse. So you never need to use the TS application if you don't want. Try using TS with iTunes in cover flow mode. Yeah, the multitouch doesn't work there, but it's totally usable. Try using the TS with ArtRage (and an actual paintbrush), and you'll have the most amazing on-screen painting experience you've ever had.
The TouchSmart is an awesome piece of hardware, just dying for some awesome software (I'm hopeful that Windows 7 will provide that foundation).
