Hi all, I purchased a Vista Ultimate HP Touch and I have recently purchased Windows 7.  Can I simply upgrade my OS to Win7 without losing any of the HP Touch capabilities?  Is there anything I need to do specifically to keep the Touch features and upgrade my OS?

You may want to read the appropriate Desktop or Notebook forums here, because no, it's not that simple, there are significant differences, but the good news is that the replacement version 3.x applications for Windows 7 are all available for your machine after you upgrade.

Thanks Diane, that is great news :-) I will dig into these forums and see what I can find. Is there an actual document that outlines how to do this upgrade in the proper order, or do I comb through the forums to hopefully find all the pieces?

Thanks again for the information :-)

Being that you haven't mentioned model, that makes it tough, but there's a great All-In-One laptop installer in a sticky thread, and there are plenty of Win7 upgrade tales. There are also some articles linked to remotely that are very helpful but the links can be out of date.

Add those in to what you can find on HP.com, you have a bonanza of information on this subject.
