I am wondering if anyone has had an issue with a little box showing up on your desktop. I have one that is right by my internet explorer box and it keeps moving like a movie reel and showing video clips. I have tried everything I know of to remove it and I have had no success. I sure am hoping that someone can help me with this.

I'm thinking you really need a screenshot for this one since you're not really describing it very well.

TOTALLY guessing it sounds like you minimized a DVD or TV in Windows Media Center, or possibly the Touchsmart Video tile.

But in general the answer is "nope, not a common problem"

as diane said,
sounds like media center,
to remove you have to right click the task bar and untick the media center option
