Hi Sudheenrar, am having this problem too in initial 3 mths - but too inconvenient to restore to factory because of having installed 3rd party software.
Did you managed to get problem fixed?

The following problems were noted during the initial 3 months of use:
1. Touch Screen stopped functioning. Sent back to HP and they fixed it. Also said they fixed the DVD Drive.....was told that there was a link between the two. What gives? But anyway, the touch screen was fixed in 7 days.
2. Tried to create rescue disks but DVD Drive was able to read but not write. Sending it back again. Hopefully this time, they do not send me a "free" defect.
