Hello,

I am trying to over clock my video card in my HP TouchSmart. However, what ever program I use it never seems to find my graphics card. What is wrong? It either never appears or I get a message saying "Failed: No device found!" I have used all the major programs, including the official AMD OverClock Utility.

Please help.

Thanks.

Don't waste your time, you will not get any measurable increase in performance.

I take it you already gave up on the external video card options?

Yeah I did haha. I did once I found out that they don't deliver to the UK.

I'm not sure what your ultimate goal is, but the answer that you have what you bought as far as video performance in the Touchsmart series, there are not any graphics upgrades, tricks, or hacks that will increase that performance.

These are overgrown laptops, and as cool and awesome as they are, graphics is one of the compromises.

If you're finding that the vendors you were looking at would not ship to the UK, then you're looking at the wrong vendors, there are plenty of companies that will ship PC parts to the UK, you just need to buy from companies IN the UK.

It's not a PC part, more a peripheral. I have looked and looked and looked and cannot find a UK supplier.

So are you saying Diane is that none of the Touchsmart Desktops can be upgraded as far as video/graphic cards?

In general...yes, exactly

In theory, a mini laptop card might work in some situations, but they are more like laptops not desktops in that area.
