Hi,

I'm kind of late in the game to join in as I got my machine a bit later with an odd story. My Tx2z-1020us was bought new from RadioShack (last place I'd expect myself to find one) back in March 2010, as RadioShack misplaced a single unit in the back room (it literally sat out as clearance on its own about a week before I bought it).  So in the end, I ended up getting the machine with pretty much all the specs maxed out, more or less brand new, for like $670.  Overall pretty happy with it right now, ignoring some occasional driverless bootups.

Since I got it in March 2010, I missed the free Windows 7 upgrade by a month and some chances to snag accessories as well.  I was looking into seeing if anyone might have the quickdock and stand for the tx2 for sale that they don't need (or somewhere to find), as I'm starting to think I might want to have them.  I'm primarily going to be using this machine for artwork, so having a way to prop it up seems useful.

I'm working on reading through the updates/suggested changes for the machine and will be working on them when I have the chance (I've done very little with it so far).

I would like to see about getting a screen protector, I heard Photodon is good.  I think I have the Shiny screen, not the matte, would the anti-glare be ideal for it?

I also am probably going to buy this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Black-Keyboard-cover-HP-TX1000-TX1105-TX1106-TX2-/260450019297?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0#ht_2761wt_951

~Thanks.

The xb4 is really nice and under $70 at Amazon, I prefer it to the quickdock at the same price.

Actually, that's pretty cool.  So I assume the laptop sits open then instead of in folded tablet mode, right?  Sounds like after buying the other set, (I estimate the quickdock and stand to be about $90) it's slightly cheaper to get the xb4.

How are the speakers on the xb4?  Any louder then the built in ones? (which are fairly quiet vs an older HP in my opinion)

the xb4 has decent speakers since there's an amp in it, and you can either use it as a stand for the unit in either table or laptop mode, it's somewhat adjustable
It's not ultra-adjustable, but it's a well built unit.
