N-trig finally released drivers for you users of windows 7 32bit. The driver bundle is 2.239 as compared to 2.184 on hp website that is riddled with bugs. As of now, I can't confirm whether there is 2, 4 or more touch points so 32bit users are encouraged to try it out.

If you are a 64bit user, don't think this isn't for you. The winTab API that ensures pen compatibility for you Adobe Photoshop users is currently only available on 32bit. So there is an incentive to switch pack to 32bit even though you have 4Gb ram.

Provided this works well, I will definitely be switching to 32bit for a little bit of Photoshop doodling on my tx2, but more importantly because the latest 64bit drivers are buggy on my system.

Hi,
reading the threads here, where you can destroy by unsuccessful flashing during the driver installation the touch funtionality totally and irreparable. I can only recommend not to install any drivers from N-Trig after Warranty of the Laptop.

My touch is dead and the Laptop is out of Warranty. Other's were lucky and got the whole display replaced.

if the screen dies, it has nothing to do with drivers, it is hardware failure ...propably the ATI card is fried or your screen has just broken

not the sceen died, the touch function died. Search for Unknown device. There are schemes which are sw related but many schemes only replacement of the lid helped. I have such a tx2 and it happened after driver flashing. First I had only SW problem which I tried to resolve with different versions of N-trig drivers. Now after last upgrade the touch/pen is dead and I'm facing repaircost of 500$. So i recommend others here not to shuffle around. There is a certain risk with each fkash activity. You get this warning on each BIOS update.
'Don't touch a running systen!'

if you wanna be adventurous .... uninstall ntrig - reboot

the go to the registereditor - go to - hkey_local_machine - software - highlight ntrig and make a copy of it to your desktop or whatever if you want - delete all ntrig strings - reboot - install fresh ntrig drivers again ...if it doesnt work you have hardware failure

there is a similar string in hkey_current_user - software

Theese driver were released under my pressure, only to make you know, I've spoke with hp and n-trig for a long time, finally, the last time they promised me they can upload the driver in 1 week, so I finally did it. My job is done for now.

Here's the last e-mail:

Hello ***

We understand your frustration and sorry about that. We have already released the x32 drivers to HP few months ago together with the x64 driver.

For some reason, HP only uploaded the x645 driver and not the x32 driver. We tried to approach them many times about this issue but got no satisfying answer.

Therefore, we will release this bundle on our website this week.

Regards
