I'm really surprised 2.x worked for you, but congrats!
The IQ7xx series was never supported with anything other then the version 1.x software, so I really can't see you being able to resolve the issues in trying to shoehorn 3.x in.
I was wondering when we were going to have someone try to use the All in One installer on a first generation machines!

Yesterday i inherited a IQ770, and since i didnt know the history of it, i started off with the f11 recovery which refused to work at all.
so i wipe the machine and install various versions of vista/w7 to get the thing working.
i've settled on w7 x64, and have installed 2.0.3057 version of touchsmart. however, some of the addons (egg timer for example) requires an updated client to install.
so i head off to the 3.0 update package listed under the downloads section here, and attempt to install - no go failing with error 9996 due to minimum requirements.
is the touchsmart software really worth all this hastle? how do i go about updating it? what can i really do with the iq771 - am i stuck on vista due to software support or is it possible to get win7 + software working properly on it?
any help appreciated, im at a dead end!
