The drivers for Vista should work on Windows 7 as well, but maybe with a small performance hit. Get them from the HP Support site. The reason why you can't calibrate the screen is because the screen hardware reports itself as a mouse device, so Windows doesn't know there's something to calibrate. If I remember correctly, you can press Scroll Lock six or seven times in rapid succession, and that's supposed to trigger a calibration.
Have searched for hours all over google to try find answers but seems to be lacking.
Bought an iq772 from someone, came pre-installed with windows 7 but without all the hp drivers, have managed to install drivers for the wireless, tv tuner, dvd drive, sd card reader and the 6100 Graphics card.
i can't seem to install the 7600 graphics driver, keeps telling me i don't have the correct drivers, have tried extracting and running in compatability mode for vista but no luck. Am starting to feel that seller lied when saying it has the 7600 (although i thought they all came bog standard)
It's also missing the whole of the touchsmart suite (although i have found that on the internet) and windows 7 won't recognise the pc as a tablet so i can't calibrate the screen etc.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Managed to calibrate screen by tapping scroll lock, downloaded the vista 7600 fall 2007 driver, extracted with win rar and changed the setup to run as if it was windows vista service pack 2, driver installed, restarted but device manager still says i only have the 6100 installed, any other ideas?
thanks!
Considering the driver says 6100, the product specs say 6100, and it installs and runs properly, it has the default GF6100 in it.
That makes sense since swapping the video card on these units is a bear if you review the forums.
sorry...
