The new software will be made available to owners of the previous generation of hardware. There's no date for when it will be put up for download yet, though.
Check out the new TouchSmart 310, running the latest version of the TouchSmart software.

I don't understand your question, you can return your unit to QVC if you don't want it, the 600 series is completely different, and the 800 series has been discontinued for almost a year.
