I just purchased a 600-1120 and I'm already looking to upgrade the processor. On HP's site it lists the Mobo as a Pegatron IMPIP-M5 E66 and compatible processors as follows: i5 430M, i5 5x0M, i7 620M, i7 720QM, i7 820QM. Now looking at the new configurable 600 Quad series it lists the same MOBO with additional processor options as i7 740QM and i7840QM. So is there a BIOS flash that will be needed to recognize the new processor. If so then where do I get the latest BIOS from? I searched the comparable 600-1390 and still no BIOS files available. Just want to make sure the pc will recognize a new processor before I put one in.

Also, does anyone know if the MOBO is capable of supporting the 55W i7 920XM or 940XM. Don't want to burn the board.

I've built my other two HP's (HDX Dragon, HDX 18) as far as I can with them and they are still running strong so I'm looking to do the same with this.
