Hi Kisser: If you have not made a purshase yet. Go to live help in HP sales department. The representative will help you make the right choices or you can call the sales department. I just purchased a HP C410 printer. They answered all my questions. When I went to phone in my order they ounce again ask me questions about how I was going to use it. To make sure that was right choice. So I am sure they will be the best help for you. Good Luck.
So I have been dabbling over the idea of getting a touch screen tablet for a while, years ago I saw some footage of users drawing and sketching and I got ideas and really wanted one.
Well as stated years past and I am a bit out of touch with what is what. I look up a model that was highly recommended to me only to find it to have been replaced long ago.
The model in question is the Tx2510us, or Tx2500z. While these systems give great speeds and everything I need, I can no longer find them anyplace "new" that will suit my budget.
My local Best Buy and other places don't even carry touch screens like those anymore, in fact they don't even carry many touch screen devices in general (that were aimed toward artistic use) because of the lack of buyers in the area.
So I come here, before making a huge mistake or something.
The HP site currently only shows one tablet I can modify/buy: The HP Touchsmart tm2t
While on the outside it may look like something I can use... I really want to make sure it has all the things I really wanted.
The models that were suggested to me (The Tx2500 series) was said to have a fantastic touch screen for Stylus use. This is what I want - I don't care to use fingers on my screen so much as a stylus to draw, as that is what will be done most of the time on it. Honestly that's really my biggest concern.
Ideal tablet would have:
Touch Screen made for stylus use and accuracy (For drawing)
Built in WiFi connection is amust
CPU around 2.0Ghz, or the standard equivalent for multi core
2+ GB RAM
and a staggering low amount of 16GB usable hard drive space is required
Given such the small space for hard drive, you might wonder why - this is just a figure of what I would need daily - and am willing to "save files to alternate drives" to free up that space again to use the next day. It also means I don't mind if its a 100GB drive inside or a 1TB drive as long as the other requirements are met (or at least close in case of the CPU issue being off)
Most other things are optional as long as the system works well. I read up about overheating and WiFi units going out and GPU issues on some of the models and all that - and I really don't want the hassle of dealing with that.
The biggest thing is affording this new lifestyle. I was hoping to contact HP and be able to pay it off in several months instead of using a site like Ebay that would require me to have all the money right on hand.
Lastly I am looking at under 1,500$ US overall (in case anything needs added for support like "this model is perfect, but needs more RAM")
The reason for this is because I can get a system going for 1500 that uses a separate touch screen for drawing and a "normal" laptop for the work. (and have different stats and all that) Using the Cintiq 12WX with a powerful Laptop. My goal however was to be able to have these functions "combined" into 1 device for portability.
Any ideas?
