Can someone help me with getting my volume control working again. I have an IQ522 and looks like the drives for the volume bottoms on the right side suddnely stopped working. I have tried to reinstall the origional drivers without success - have someone see this problem ?

This issue is almost always resolved by going back to the original HP Vista32 drivers/application for the Keyboard and screen buttons.

You may have to uninstall any updated versions of that application first, and do not install the option Keyboard/Button software that may show up in Windows/Microsoft update.

The less obvious possibility is that somehow the connection inside the case came loose.

It isn't impossible... I had the connector for the home button (lower right) on my 507 come loose during the first month (it worked for about a month, then quit)

About 2 months later, when I was upgrading the CPU, I checked, and sure enough, the wire was disconnected... reattached, and it still works. So, if you try all software options and get nowhere, you may want to check the hardware out.
