I bet it's saying that it can't use your itunes library with the HP Touchsmart music application, that's common, and there's not an easy fix since Apple seems to release a new version of itunes every 6 months.
In general with most 3rd party applications that offer itunes support you do *not* want to upgrade itunes right away, keep the older versions running until you really need to move forward.

I have the HP TouchSmart 300 PC and I have iTunes but it says my iTunes is not compatible with my software. What do I do?
