Officially the legs on the IQ5xx series are not removable.
However you may find that if you follow the IQ8xx instructions for removal of its legs that you can get to the internal screws to release them.
hi, after several attempts I managed to place my Hp Touchsmart IQ512it the wall ... now I want to know if there is a way to remove the two legs ... look through your answers as you are more experienced than me! excellent forum for touchsmart maniacs!

Actually, the IQ5xx feet are not designed to be removable like the IQ8xx feet. On the 5xx you'd have to remove the entire motherboard to get to the screws at the back of the feet. A very, very difficult operation. I've tried and given up because it was too difficult to foresee any kind of success with it.

So I guess if one were determined enough, and stubborn enough to tear the machine apart into all its sub-assemblies the feet are "removable"
