It's more like a laptop than a desktop in the regards to spare parts replacement with many of the parts only being shared with other Touchsmart units, the power supply, hard drive, and memory are easily user replaced, the rest become more difficult.
Personally I consider all computers "disposable" since by the time they're a few years old newer machines perform so much better that the units get replaced.
If you really are that concerned, then an HP Carepaq extended warranty may be a wise idea for you.

hello friends .- I need your comments and suggestions regarding the model HP TouchSmart 600-1367 and I bought this computer but I have many fears..! I do not know if I made a good choice to buy the HP TouchSmart 600-1367 :-( I do not know if this computer is disposable because everithing is integrated - Drives - Display and Graphics - TV Tuner - Audio - Ports and more..! Therefore my question is : if something goes wrong or pieces break or burns are these parts are replaceable.??? or is this computer just thrashable (a throw away!)
Have I made a good investment over this HP TouchSmart 600-1367 or would it be better to change this computer for another model and save more? I would appreciate if you shared your advice and experiences on this computer model
thanks
