The s-video port on the IQ775 is designed for input into the computer, not for seeing the computer's display on an external TV. The only extra output is the "mini-VGA" out. The IQ775 comes/came with a cable that converts the "mini-VGA" port to a standard VGA port.

Ok...I noticed the s-video "in" on the front, but I guess I just assumed the s-video on side, (which I assume is part of the tv tuner card) was the s-video "out". I got the IQ775 used and got it working *great*, but apparently didn't get all the cables that the original owner got with it. :o(

I've looked all over HP's site and can't even seem to find the cable I'd need??? wth? LOL

when I look at the back of the computer I see the port and I've seen the "drawing" of the cord, but have no idea where I'd even go to find it. I can't even see anything like it on HP's site.

Here's the link to the cable pic's and stuff...does anybody know the part #??

This is the HP part number for the mini-VGA cable: 5188-7281

I don't think you'll be able to find one anywhere, though.

Here's an old thread that talks about the IQ770 monitor, etc.: http://www.touchsmartdevzone.com/forum/thread/770/MONITOR-IS-BLACK-RESPONDS-T...
