Hi, i'm a new member here. i found this website while i'm searching for information of tx2.

I just want to buy a notebook with touchscreen. There is one shop in my country still sell a new tx2-1202au which it should be sold out. Current price is $980 with original spec (Vista, AMD Turion, 2GB of Ram, HDD 320 GB, DVD ...) and original price is $1300.

Compare with Fujitsu Lifebook TH550 ($1300) Core i3-380UM, 2GB Ram, HDD 500GB, w/o DVD. Its body looks so thick, because 10.1" screen with weight 3.2 lbs. i'm interesting in it because lightweight.

Now i have 2 choice, because other new models price are over my budget.

What do you think about it If i buy an old product or you have other choice. Please advise.

Nonn

I found tx2 is nothing but a waste of money.
N-trig digitizer is worthless too, especially if ur power source is not grounded

Depends on your need. If you want it for art, do not get this laptop. If you're looking for it for processing power, you could do better.

You said your interest is in it being lightweight. You may be in the small group of people who can use this laptop well. If you keep it on low power settings, keep it clean, and only use it for general applications, it should be a good all-around laptop for you with some additional nice things.

But for anyone who uses their laptop enthusiast purposes, this is not the laptop for them.

I hope this helps you in your decisions. :)
