I use skype a lot and record my voice too

I have really appreicated the Directional array microphone , WONDERFull!!

just moving 2 feet left or right and my voice is dramnaictally dimisnished so this cuts out a lot of the background noise LOVE IT.

 PROBLEM:

every once in a while my micrrophone recordings make my voice sound VERY GARBLED , like from a bottom of a barrell

 What to do??

I have clicked on every adjustment on sound MAX audio settings I could findCry

knocking the recording volume down to about 14% does help but it still horrible voice quailty

sample: http://www.screencast.com/users/IntranetSites/folders/Default/media/de608a04-...

Ok Plugging in a headset on the left side and radio button the sound MAX audio settings recording devices to line in and still  the Array microphone is still on, go figure?

Should I delete a driver and then figure out how to reinstall it?

Can  any one help here ??Embarassed

Do I try tech support? or would they just tell to revert my ts back to the orginal day and unistall all my software LOL

thats the catch all support solution ...... we do not support any non hp software so unistall it all and see if the problem goes away ... hmm Ok think I will ask this forum first Smile

woudl a spell checker be nice on this CMS

thanks for your advise

Well day 3 and I have set the microphone away from the directional setting and then it seems to have reverted back to directionalsetting and now it works well

I have no idea what I did but fingers crossed it doesn't go squirely again.

Am I the only one that has had issues??

I've had similar issues with the microphone as well. It's an intermittent issue about 50% of my Skype calls over the past few months aren't successful. The people on the other end tell me I sound garbled. And I get a Skype message that there is a lot of background noise on my end, but I'm in a silent room.

Try making sure you have the driver from HP, latest one for your particular OS. The directional mic's have special drivers for them.
