Hi Peter,
Unfortunately, the HP TouchSmart text can not be removed through customization. Likewise with the browser. It was not foreseen that anyone would want to have this kind of customization, so that capability was not built into the software.
We use TouchSmart for trade showes (IQ804).
I have some questions on customizing the experience
1) How do I remove the "HP Touchsmart" text that is top center
2) Can I alter the browser experience. Basically I want fewer icons and want the website to take up more space.

Thanks for the reply. I built my own wpf browser (wrapper) that takes care of browser.
Do you know if there is any way to get rid of of the black gradient. I have changed the background image, but the fade to black is killing it.

One other question. Is there source code for SmartCenter? This would be a very fast updated.

There is no customization of the gradient, sorry. The source code is not public either. You could approach HP's business development organization to talk about your needs and see if they're interested in working with you to address them in some fashion.
