You can use a USB keyboard to troubleshoot in Safe Mode and avoid issues with wireless not working.
It sounds a lot like an issue with the Bluetooth was the start of all this, and that can be a tick hard to diagnose, using a hard wired USB mouse and keyboard will let you uninstall/reinstall the Bluetooth section.
A few days ago my Touchsmart's mouse froze. Replaced batteries, unhooked and connected, nothing. A few hours later, the keyboard did the same. Same scenario only the standby key on the keyboard did function (nothing else though). Using the touchscreen, I ran a update search on the drivers which then cause the touchscreen to freeze.
I had to turn off the computer using the on/off button because I had no other way to do it. I re-booted the computer "normally" because I have no way to switch to safe mode. The computer again froze. Did a hard re-set again and the same happened.
I've searched the forum and couldn't find anything like this. Any help?
I had previously tried to use a USB mouse and keyboard but it appears that the computer doesn't get to the point of finding their hardware to allow me to use them either.
You should be able to use them in early as in the BIOS.
If the Bluetooth is dead USB kbd and mouse are your only option.
