Just got the 310. We went to install a game (bubble Wrap) from the app center and it failed to install. Same with other listed apps. Everything else seems to be working fine. Ideas?

Can you explain what do mean by failed to install? You simply do not see any activity or you get any error message?

I have the same problem-

I click "install" on the app I have chosen from the app center and receive the message " Installation unsuccessful" it then also states "such and such" app failed to install on your system.

this is the only message received after clicking to install the app- no other details appear after the attempts of installation.

This is happening to me to and its new out of the box. It actually started downloading and showed pics of power puff girls and said complete so I pressed close and then it said install failed. Finally I got this error message...

"Unsupported 16-bit application"

"\??\C:Users\rakegirl\AppData\Local\AppsCenterDL.exe\PaintBlast-English.exe"cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the service vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

FIX!!! I have hp touchsmart 310 and my apps would not install it would just say installation failed. Well what I did was went to main home screen (not the one with the carosal) and right clicked, went to screen resolution, advanced settings, Monitor, then colors and set it from 32 bit to 16 bit. I pressed ok and exited out of there. I went to the hp touchsmart home (one with app center on it called a carosal or something) and it wont open. It will say please close and select an aero theme. So I went back and UNDID all that. I changed my 16bit back to 32bit and once I went back to the touchsmart home screen my apps were installed already on the carosal! ;) hope this works for someone else and hope it makes sense.
