ebay.. and you're looking for what is sometimes called a "weight saver"
Hi all,
So when I originally bought my TX2 it came with a false DVD drive plate; for when the DVD drive is removed. Unfortunately, I cant find the bloody thing anymore.
Does anyone know where I can find/order a replacement?
Here's why:
As you all know our wonderful Tx2s have a tendency to overheat. Well I'm experimenting with a possible solution. I'm putting together a system blower that will fit inside the DVD drive bay and blow cold air through the unit and out the existing exhaust fan. I hoping I can track down one of those false drive plates to attach the blowers guts to; making the the unit a removable plugin drive.
Any help is much appreciated.

On another note:
Do you know where I might find the baseline internal running temps for a model Tx2 -1244ca, running windows 7?
Its looking like I might be having some overheating issues and I'm trying to find a baseline to compare to.

You mean other than the tons of threads and discussions already on units and overheating in the Touchsmart Notebook threads? no, I have nothing additional to add those existing threads :-)
