Hi,

you can update the software with the latest TouchSmart, one of the latest 600?

Have you used the updater from the hp.com support section for your model?
There are multiple threads here and over in the HP Community forums about this subject and how it works. I can't really point you to the direct page since you're missing a digit in your model number.

Here's the HP page for the model line upgrading in general http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02641554&cc=us&dlc=en&lc...

You should be able to find reference to this by digging here, and by looking in the HP.com forums. Of all the potential issues to have this one is pretty low on most folks lists.

And for some reason I seem to remember it happening for upgraded machines and the way the button is dealt with.

BTW http://www.touchsmartdevzone.com/forum/thread/1290/Disable-Touchsmart-button/ will point you in the right direction.

There really isn't a need to bump your own threads, especially on what is a holiday weekend for the US, most answers can be found here or at HP with a bit of searching.
