ok, so my tx2 1370us version motherboard had crashed, i recently ordered a new board n installed it. it was a sucess however when i turned it on it was loading terrible slow, and after some tests it was the hard drive that also was bad. so i also replaced the hard drive, bought a new one. i had to download a copy of win 7 and install it and used my product key that came with my tx2. after installing i realised that the features that originally came with my tx were gone, the touchscreen doesnt respond well when i touch it and the buttons on the monitor to the right like the rotate display button, the button that launches mediasmart and the settings button none of them works ... am not to good with computers but is there a way to fix this, restore my tx to how it came originally..... i remember i had a recovery partition on the hard drive that crashed .. whenever i did a system recovery that would restore everything perfectly... is there a way i can get back that recovery partition so i can install it to this hardrive n do a recovery and get my tx back to how it should be?..... pls help me, i really wanna get this fixed. ty in advance

You can download most of what you need from HP.com in the support section for your laptop.

You can't get the recovery partition back, but you can buy the Recovery DVDs that it sounds like you never made from HP for under $30, you've already spent more than that in time trying to fix this.

thnx.. but one more thing... i downloaded n updated all the drivers from hp support but i am not getting any audio from the speakers... it detected my hardware n everything, it said device is installed and working correctly but i gget no audio at all. what do you think can be the problem?

No firm idea from my side, it's usually that you have the output device set incorrectly or it doesn't like the driver you installed, I'd uninstall it and see if regular Windows drivers for the audio work ok.

Arkadia: How has your laptop come along since?
Have you made any mechanical measures to prevent overheating?- Of so, what are they?
