I inherited an HP Touchsmart tx2-1370us Tablet Notebook (running Windows 7, 64bit, a dual core 2.30 GHz processor, and 4 GB of RAM), along with a docking station and a touchscreen monitor (HP Compaq L2105tm). Everything looks and works like new, the original owner was about 75 years old and someone had talked them into buying it, and they seldom used it. My only problem is that I don't have any manuals for it, and I know it is bound to be capable of doing far more than what I am doing now, just checking email and stuff. My questions are:

1. Are there any video tutorials out there that would show/teach me some of the cool stuff I could do with this? If so, if you could give me links or tell me where to get them I would appreciate it. I literally know nothing. For example, it has a stylis pen, but I don't know what all you can do with it, or what the little clicky button thingy on the side of the pen does. Any help with what all neat stuff can be done with this touchsmart notebook would be appreciated.

2. Are there any Apps available for this? It only seems logical that you should be able to download Apps to it, especially since it has multi-touch technology, but I'm new to the whole "App" thing and don't know where to go to get them, or how to install them on this (or how to know if it is safe to put them on here). All I know is that my wife has an iPod touch and an HP Touchpad and she loves her Apps, so I have "App Envy" and want to try to find some for this if it is possible.

3. I was told if I take my finger and make an "M" on the screen that it will launch the touch software, but it doesn't. Looking online I also see screenshots of an "M" button in the taskbar but I don't see it. I can press a physical button on the side of the screen and it launches. Should I be able to activate it by swiping my finger in an "M" pattern on the screen?

4. One of my favorite things so far is the fingerprint reader and how easy it makes it to log into email and stuff like that. But, I downloaded Internet Explorer 9 when it first became available, and the Digital Persona Personal didn't work anymore. So I called microsoft support and they walked me through removing IE9 and putting IE8 back on it. Does anyone know if IE9 has been updated to support fingerprint readers yet?

Thank you all for any help or advice. I apreciate your time.

welcome!
There really isn't a reason to post the same message in multiple places, I took care of cleaning up the others and leaving this one on it's own.

Thank you Diane. Sorry about that. I posted that in the first spot before I found there was a section for the notebooks. This is all a bit new to me. Thanks.
