touchsmart wont connect to router after 2 years. It worked fine, the next morning I turned everything on and it wont connect. All other wireless devices still connect to the router, no problems. I renetered everything and it wont connect, it wont connect to any network. It shows them, tried to connect for a second and then says "it cannot connect", i diagose and it says to contact my ISP...hello....clearly it's the touchsmart, all other wireless devices are still connecting just fine. Please help. I have seen this problem listed on the internet in many places and no resolutions. Its happing to others, so there must be an easy fix. Thank you!

No need for duplicate posts in multiple forums, this is the right place for it.

Wireless issues are common, getting by them can be a bit tricky, first off how is your wireless network set up?
SSID broadcasting? not in conflict with another local network?
What kind of security? WEP, WPA, none?
Does your Desktop see any other networks?
Have you told it to forget this network and look for others? if so does it find them?

Those are all the questions I would start with in troubleshooting a wireless problem, it's not "Touchsmart specific" it's "that particular computer" specific"

You may need to remove the wireless adapter in Device Manager and then have Device Manager check for new hardware. Sometimes that fixes issues where things are stuck in a bad state. For example, it works for USB connections that inexplicably stop working after a while (I had my wireless keyboard stop working and after removing the device and adding it back, it started working again.)
