I did a quick review and was not seeing any reference to it having the ambient lighting feature, even within a model line such as the 600-1350 not all sub-models have the features so the odds are very good that your configuration does not have the feature.

this is not a good reason to buy a computer but it was the feature that sold me on it. it's advertised on the box as well as in the discription. when at best buy i told sales person the same thing we looked it up on the computer together he says there will be instuctions as to the feature. it really is being sold fausely. when i called hp they said even though its a 1350 some come with different features such as beats or gaming if i wanted amb i had to get less features but the box it came out of sure is glowing. i'm just saying.

As I said, different sub-models have different features and it's been all over the map as to which have it and which don't.

However I looked and out of the 5 or 6 models and retailers I saw none of them mentioned the ambient light feature in their descriptions. Does the box just show a glow or does it actually say that the ambient lighting is a feature? if it does then there's certainly a decent reason to return it.

yes it's on the box. i'm going to keep it to much trouble returning. don't want to lose features just for a light no matter how kool it is.
