My IQ816 suddenly does not see the dvd drive........... it does not matter what disc I insert into the drive. The computer is only a week old, I tried to reinstall the drivers under the help and tools but the drive is not in the list. I also tried to do a system restore but i still have the yellow warning on the dirve in device manager.

Any help is appreciated.

Will it play a CD or DVD? If not, I'd say the drive is dead.

Funny I remember seeing that same code...... I just used the drive on the weekend, yesterday was the first time I went to burn a CD when  I noticed all this crap happening.

I spoke to HP support, they wanted to know if I had itunes installed since I do not use itunes i will have to check when I get home tonight, so they sent me this link also talking about upper and lower filters.
