I've searched for this issue, but all I can find are references to the other, more "popular" display issues. I don't know if anyone has had this one specifically, since the search results get washed out.

When I boot my 1025dx, the computer runs just fine. I can hook it up to an external monitor, and even use the touch screen, but there is no display on the computer. If I reboot many (many!) times, occasionally, I can get the screen to initialize, but from there, if it turns off or reboots, it will go back to not displaying.

Oddly enough, I can turn the display off or put it to sleep when it has its rare moments of working properly, and it will come back on, but if it reboots instead of hibernates, it will likely not work again.

Other than running my computer 24/7 after a rare successful initialization, does anyone have any solutions? This computer is a long time out of warranty; I stashed it away out of frustration when I first noticed the problem and was told it was two weeks out of warranty last year. I'm just now coming back to it, and trying to fix it myself.
