When I select album in the touchsmart it shows a lot of albums that I dont have.

Its because I have some albums that are "greatest hits " and then it shows an album only with one song in it.

Is it possible to set it up so I can browse in "folders" instead.

I have had the same problem in Media center.

Most greatest hits albums tag the metadata for each song with the original album name. You may not have the album, per say, but you do have a piece of it.

I don't see any folder view for the TouchSmart software, only album, artist, genre, etc.

Browsing by artist may be a decent workaround, but if you want to use album, all you should need to do is edit the metadata for your greatest hits albums, and change the album name for each song to "Greatest hits" or something similar. You can do this in Windows Media Player, and you can re-tag all songs in the same album at once.

I know there isnt a folder view, but I wish there were :).
I have it on a internet radio, and it works great. Fixing the tags would take way to long, I have more than 18000 tracks :)

I didn't say it was a quick solution, but it would work. ;-)

You wouldn't have to do all 18000 tracks; only the greatest hits albums that are causing problems. If there's only 50 of those, it wouldn't take more than an hour or two to knock them out.

Maybe they'll enhance the music player in the TouchSmart Software to allow folder view. That would certainly be the most ideal solution.
