I replaced the basic HP mouse with a shiny new logitech MX620. I was very happy with the mouse on my previous PC but it seems to be 'catching' (sticking) and not moving smoothly on my HP desktop. I've updated drivers etc adn the batteries are good. I think it's software related as it seems to happen mainly when I'm browsing. Should I disable the prrevious HP mouse? Any suggestions?

I have a logitech MX "Laser" Mouse. (I have had it a while and I think it is the MX3000. Anyway, it seems to do the same thing but I found that it happens more often when I have my desk lamp on and the light is hitting my desk (stained oak). I think the glasr eform my desk lamp may be the source of the problem becuase it doesn;t happen when the light is off. (Its a halogen lamp too)

unusual ... as I said though, the mouse worked well with my previous PC so I think the issue is software/compatibility based.

I forgot to mention that I am not using the logitech mouseware. I'm using the generic windows drivers only. Sorry for the omission.
