Tips for new members:

Hello and welcome to the growing Touchsmart Community.

The site has been more and more active lately and lots of questions have been asked and answered many times.  I encourage you to browse through the forums before asking a question as you may find your answer more quickly than waiting a few days for a response.  You may also find answers to things you didn’t even realize you knew or were looking for. J

First and foremost, if you haven’t created your recovery disks yet, do so now. I can’t emphasize this enough.

One of the most common questions asked is: Where can I download the Touchsmart software?  The short answer is you can’t.  But a quick search and you will find some solutions as to how other people have successfully reinstalled it.

There is lots of discussion in the windows 7 discussion group.  If you are on the cutting edge and want to install Win7 on your Touchsmart, I encourage you to join the group, participate in discussion and post your experiences.

The site is not an HP website and many of us here are Touchsmart enthusiasts.  We don’t work for HP but we do our best to offer our advice based on our knowledge and experience.  Some of us come here every day to read the forums and others come less frequently; however, we do our best to answer your questions as best we can as soon as we can.

While I understand that some problems will arise and you may have a reason to complain about your Touchsmart or HP, please be mindful of what you say and how you say it.  Please refrain from using foul language and defamatory comments that could get you or the website in trouble.
