Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but both #1s are currently impossible within the HP Touchsmart software. Being able to specify which folders the Music/Photo/Video apps monitor is one of the most requested features from everyone here (see http://www.touchsmartcommunity.com/forum/thread/182/Picture-Video-folders/) and we can only hope that it will be part of the next update.
In terms of a "Photo Booth" app, I know you can take pictures of yourself in the Notes app and save them to the "Photos" folder--that could be a temporary fix until such an app is developed.

I'm using 39 of these units for a tradeshow exhibit in April and I would like to customize the HP "Home" interface a bit to make it work a bit better. Below are my lists of "issues" I'd like to work around.
Photo Viewer:
1) I would like to specify which folder to grab images from. Right now it's grabbing images from all over the computer and I'd like it to open just whatever images I have within the My Pictures Folder.
2) In Fan View, it breaks down the sections basically into folders and dates. I'd like for this interface to just show by "folder" and only the folders I assigned. In Normal view I don't really care if it shows by date.
3) This is a stretch but, is there a way to minimize the "Photo Detail" box? I'm sure there isn't but I'd really like to be able to minimize this box. It would be beautiful to be able to slide through images without having that detail box.
Video Viewer:

Other Stuff:
1) Is there any "Photo Booth" like applications with the TouchSmart. I'd love to be able to take candid shots of the sales staff with clients for use at a later time or even during the show on a couple of big TVs we have floating around.
