Hi, I have a problem with the recovery in my tx2, it doesn't work. It is probably corrupted. I can ask HP for a new dvd because I live in Spain and here the tx2 is not sold.

As I can't use recovery I have reinstalled vista from an original dvd, which doesn't include drivers or software. The drivers are not a problem because they are on the hp website, but the software doesn't. So I have lost many of the propieties of the tx2: multitouch, fingerprint manager, mediasmart aplications...

I would thank very, very much if someone could upload the swsetup folder to any server like megaupload, rapidshare or any other, or tell me where can I obtain them. Thanks for your help.

have you contacted HP regarding this? I am sure they have it located somewhere either on their website or somewhere on a server they own you just need to ask.

Shouldn't be to hard for HP to assist you with this problem just have to call

I have contacted HP and they have told me that the partition is corrupted, and it have created corrupted dvds. They have also said that I need to order a recovery dvd to recover the aplications, thy only provide drivers. The problem is that i Spain tx2 is not sold so I can't order the dvds.

So I need to download it from anywhere. I will thank your help.

sorry to hear there is no easy solution for you. Maybe somebody who has the disk would be willing to creaet an ISO for you and assist you. I don't have the disks and honestly don't know how legal that would be...but if you choose to persue that option that is your deal.

Good Luck to you and Best Wishes!
