I purchased a tx2-1025dx about two weeks ago and love it. But yesterday my multitouch randomly stopped working. I have windows 7 on one partition and vista on the other, after installing the windows 7 n-trig drivers my vista partitions pen and touch input no longer work properly. In my frustration I restored to HP default using the recovery disks I created and still no resolution. Please let me know what I should do or if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them!
Thanks,
Ravi
Someone on the forum posted this info regarding N-Trig updating the firmware when running the Win 7 beta for HP TouchSmart tx2. He suggested a way to undo the damage...
Good luck
Some little tutorial:
1) Download the Dells N-Trig driver (choose your version):
*XP Tablet:
http://ftp.us.dell.com/input/N-Trig_Multi-Touch-Digitizer_A02_R206868.exe
*Vista 32bit:
http://ftp.us.dell.com/input/N-Trig_Multi-Touch-Digitizer_A02_R206867.exe
*Vista 64bit:
http://ftp.us.dell.com/input/N-Trig_Multi-Touch-Digitizer_A02_R206869.exe
2) Run this setup and install it.
3) This setup will install up to 100% but ends in a error, but overrided your Firmware.
4) Restart
5) Now you can normaly touch your sexy display =)
6) Install your old, normal driver =)

N-Trig removed the link on their web site to the HP TouchSmart tx2 Win 7 beta drivers. Presumably because of these issues. They justed posted a comment on their site stating that HP TouchSmart tx2 drivers will be back online soon. Hopefully this means that they will be updated drivers without the issues.
They should update the final drivers with scrolling and doubbletab... I really miss that features =/
