I read on a couple threads and posts that go on for 3-4 pages and I still cannot find what I'm after.  I have the IQ816 Touchsmart PC and I want to hook up my 52" Samsung HDTV LCD television just to be able to watch media from my DivX player from downloaded video files.  I currently use a western digital external hard drive and transfer it between my PC and playstation 3 to watch .AVI/.XVID/mpeg-4 (Standard Def) media files.  I don't know which would be the best way to link my PC to my TV, using the EVGA adapter cord and plug the PC directly into the TV, or just install a media streaming program and just stream the media from my network from the PC through the Playstation3 and into the TV.  The problem with the playstation3 however will not play .MKV/H.264(X264) files which are (HD) content, where as if I can hook my PC to the TV via the DVI input I can play these HD files through DivX or VLC players onto the TV.  Has anyone bought or used the EVGA adapter to watch video on your TV, if so what kind of quality was the video and also how hard was it to set up on the Touchsmart PC side installing software/drivers ect for the 64 bit Vista?

I am in the same situation, however with the IQ526. Does anyone have any experiences/recommendations with streaming video or a EVGA cord video output? Much thanks!

P.Le I've found a great streaming program to use if you've got a PS3 hooked to your HD TV. It works great so now I have no need for any cords because now I can stream via my home wireless network. Download a P2P program called "Vuze version 4.2" and you'll have to enable a plug-in on that program that will has a specific PS3 streaming on it, so you'll now be able to drag & drop any files on that PS3 pluging and it will automatically convert the file (if not already compatable with PS3) and stream to your PS3. When you have the Vuze program turned on your computer, turn on your PS3 and you'll see a Vuze icon in the menu and you can go from there, you can either just copy your video, music, or picutes files right onto the PS3 hard drive or leave your computer on and stream right from your computer. These files of course are already downloaded files and is not live internet streaming, when I find another program that does live streaming I'll update this post. There was a couple posts which show a couple methods for streaming useing a PS3 and your wireless network on you tube, one also is windows media, but I like the Vuze better, hope this helps. http://www.vuze.com/app

I checked out that software, but like you said it's only a free trial, the Vuze is a free download.

I have a WII and I see my desktop videos with a program called Orb, the problem is that the streaming is very low quality :/

I use the very same Sammy 52" 120Hz LCD and my PS3 to view files/streams from my Touchsmart using WMP11 on the IQ and a neat FREE app called TVersity.

Need nothing to stream from Vista touchsmart to PS3, Be sure to set your network setting and sharing (set to No password). Dont forget to take a look in Exception in Firewall, put an X in what seams to be Sharing media center.
