Ever since watching the Surface videos with Microsoft Virtual Earth I wanted a multitouch PC no I have one which didnt live up to my expectations until the Windows Seven Beta which adds a great MultiTouch support right out of the box (which I am sure you have all played with and feel the same way)

I ran across this great plugin that creates the Microsoft Surface Type Multitouch Support for Virtual Earth in Windows Seven.

here is a link to the page http://blogs.msdn.com/virtualearth3d/default.aspx

or if you dont feel like reading it do the following to get it to work;

1) Have Windows Seven installed on a TouchSmart PC (default install installes the Multitouch driver now no more hacks to get it to work)

2) Install Microsoft Virtual Earth 3d http://maps.live.com/ (just click on 3d and it will start the installer)

3) After VE3d is installed download this file and install it http://www.veteam.members.winisp.net/Spaceland/blog/MultitouchPlugInSetupAlpha.exe

The next time you goto http://maps.live.com it will work with MultiTouch

this is pretty neat... but i don't seem to have multitouch support. did you get that as well, or just single touch?

Hey Steve... downloaded drive you sent... still only single touch. maybe i'm just not "doing it right". for example, can you expand/shrink map with two fingers moving in opposite directions?
