You get only 32bit versions...

if you're looking for a multitouchdriver - there isn't anyone... =/

I am getting my TX2Z today, and it's Vista Home Premium 64 bit. What do you need?

Yes, Niranda is spot on.

We are all searching for the elusive 64-bit N-Trig driver which has the multi-touch feature built in.

Some people (like me) can't order from HP direct as we aren't in a region they will ship to. Therefore we can't order with 64 bit are are restricted to buying an 'off the shelf' config from a shop with 32 bit. Except most people would like to make use of the 64 bit processors (and more than 3GB RAM) using 64 bit software. However HP won't supply the alternative 64 bit driver if we upgrade ourselves.

So you would make me, Niranda and many others happy if you could retrieve the driver for us please.

I using a Dell driver for the N-Trig just now, which doesn't have multitouch.

Thanks,

Fraser

There must be 64 bit versions as they ship with 64 bit Vista and multi-touch out of the box if you buy from HP (and select 64 bit).

That would be fantastic! Thanks.

It really is a great machine, I love it and I'm sure you will too.

I bought mine from BestBuy with Vista 64 installed. I did find the 64 bit drivers for n-trig HERE: http://rapidshare.com/files/218214686/Digitizer.rar.html

Good Luck

In Germany I can buy the TX2 only with a 32bit OS and only the 1099eg. Now there are one another configurations... but only 32bit.

Dell Multitouchdriver wan't work on 64bit right.
If I push my Pen to the top-right, my virtual mouse goes to the border-left etc..

Thank you very much electrikjesus!! =)

Now I'm looking for a way to add the nice gestures from the Dell's one:
* Scrolling with 2 fingers,
* turn monitor off with 2-finger-double-click

Niranda =)

did anyone try the driver electrikJesus Linked to? iF it's not the right onelet Me know and I'll send the one from my new pc

April 6, 2009 11:58 PM

Yes, I have just tried but Rapid Share is now telling me that it is reached the download limit for free users.

I have no objection to pay but at the moment I have no idea if that is the correct driver or if it works or if it is even still there, so I am reluctant to pay just now.

If you could check your PC and rar or zip it up then that would be great.

What other free file hosting services are there?

the driver works rightly from electrikJesus! ;-)
(TX2 1099eg -> German, 64bit Vista Ultimate)

@juan_kerr: Reboot your Router and you'll get a new IP.
Now you can download again ;)

Excellent, you're great and considerably better looking than my normal IT support!

I was trying at work, which must be why I was getting that message. I'll try when I get home. Thanks for letting us know it works.

Danke Schöne!

you can install 32bit apps on 64bit OS - thats no problem.

But you can only install 64bit drivers on a 64bit OS, not 32bit drivers on a OS.

Nira ;)

Btw: wrong thread =P

wow.. the 64 drivers provided by electrikJesus work great!!!

I wonder  why HP doesn't provide a link for downloading them to users who upgrade to 64 bit (like me), also to get rid of preinstalled bloatware that slow the system to a crawl!!

 is anyone using fingerprint recognition in Vista 64?? That I still cannot get it to work... Drivers are installed but I don't know how to enable fingerprint login (not so useful in Windows, but a timesaver for Outlook 2007 that requires a password everytime it starts)

Hints anyone?

Thanks!

Is the fingerprint reader application running in the background? Windows login should be able to recognize and use the reader without the app, but for web passwords and Outlook(?) you'll need to be running the app in the background.
