Is there a class or .NET library I can reuse to get some of the scrolling functionality that the TouchSmart applications use?

I'm a real newbie to this, so I don't have all the terminology down yet. The scrolling functionality that you get when swiping your fingers across the tiny tiles at the bottom to scroll through the apps, or when swiping your finger across album lists in the Music application to scroll through the album art. Is this available to reuse easily? I'd like to piggyback on this functionality for some TouchSmart applications I'm going to build.

Thanks!

I don't know of any such library in particular, but there are lots of people coming out with WPF libraries at Microsoft's code sharing site: http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/Project/ProjectDirectory.aspx?ProjectSearchTex...

Now that I think about it a bit more, have you looked at Pavan Podila's blog? He has a version of "coverflow" for WPF that can be tweaked in all kinds of ways. Maybe that would be useful.

Thanks for the link, that blog has tons of great info.

I guess I was thinking more along the lines that HP has already done it, and reused it themselves in several applications, so is what they've done part of a DLL or control that I can take advantage of?

I guess I'll have a look with Reflector and see if there is anything non-obfuscated there of interest.

Just be careful. All the HP code is legally protected in some way, shape or form.

In the past, other people here have criticized me for pointing that out, but it is my duty to do so, since I work for HP (look at my profile for details).

Anything I post here is not to be interpreted as me speaking on HP's behalf. It's just me trying to help out where I can without overstepping boundaries and violating rules.
